Who Do We Help?
Every dog has different goals, challenges, and needs. At Big Stretch, we provide individualized canine rehabilitation for dogs of all kinds:
Orthopedic
Dogs recovering from injuries or surgery, including CCL injuries, hip dysplasia, fractures, joint injuries, arthritis, and other orthopedic conditions
Neurologic
Dogs experiencing changes in strength, balance, coordination and mobility/general function due to a neurological condition like IVDD or degenerative myelopathy (DM)
Senior
Dogs who are 'slowing down': losing strength, having more difficulty with stairs, getting up, or simply not moving like they used to
Sporting and Working
Active dogs who want to optimize performance, perfect certain skills, or recover from/prevent injury

Where Do I Fit In?
Your dog may benefit from canine physical therapy if they're:
-
Recovering from surgery or injury
-
Managing arthritis or another chronic condition
-
Experiencing changes in strength, balance or coordination
-
Having difficulty with stairs, jumping, running or getting up
-
They're slower to recover after an activity
-
They participate in sports, agility, hunting or other physically demanding activities

What Can I Expect?
Rehabilitation isn't a one size fits all. Your dog's plan is built around their body, and the life you want to get back to together- and it all starts at the Evaluation.
Comprehensive Evaluation and Medical History Review
Before we start treatment, we take the time to understand the full picture- from your dog's medical history and previous injuries to how they move at home and what you've noticed. We combine your insight with a thorough movement and hands-on evaluation to identify areas that may be limiting your dog and create a personalized plan of care.
After a plan of care is created, the real treatment can start, which can include:
Hands-On Manual Therapy
Therapeutic Exercise
Neuromuscular Re-education
Therapeutic Modalities (Laser, PEMF)
Owner Education
Personalized Home Exercise Programs
Ongoing Progress & Plan Updates
